A smashing show lined up for you this afternoon! Tune in from 1pm at www.inverclyderadio.net for some really old good bouncy songs to get you in the mood for partying away the weekend. Tunes from The Chemical Brothers, Michael Jackson, Utah Saints, Snap! and much more. Don’t forget the competition “Guess Who” at around 1.30 as well: your chance to win the much coveted, streak free, ‘Pants of Pride’.
So tune in and don’t forget to get in touch and request a song, give a shout out or a wee menchy, either via email at allybally@inverclydemedia.com or call me via Skype (my skype name is allybally.inverclyderadio).
Finally, remember the Ally Bally’s voicemail number is open 24 hours a day and we want your nonsense calls! Call my voicemail on 0843 2895653. The more silly your voicemail, the better!
From this Thursday I’m going to be introducing a new feature called Ally Bally’s Voicemail. I hope it’s a success, but if not, it’ll be a shortlived kinda thing!
Anyway, the idea is that you save my phone number in your phone book and call up the Ally Bally voicemail recorder, either anonymously, or if you feel like sharing your name, then feel free!
The number you will need to call is 0843 2895653. You can call it at any time, but I’m guessing I’ll probably receive most calls at 2 in the morning after a night on the town!
The more outrageous your calls the better, I have the first one lined up, courtesy of mr Andy Ross of Edinburgh. Thanks for your fine vocal talents Andy, I hope you enjoyed your Kebab!
So, I guess that’s all for now, except to say keep tuning in to the Ally Bally show – next on air on Thursday evening at 6pm-8pm GMT only on Inverclyde Radio!
The number is a lo-call rate number, calls are charged at the average local call rate from landlines but will cost more from mobile phones. Do not forget to ask the bill payers permission before phoning. The Ally Bally Show reserves the right to edit and remove profanity from recordings where deemed not appropriate for the listener audience. We cannot guarantee to play all calls but will make best efforts to do so.
The Ally Bally show is live as per usual on Inverclyde Radio this afternoon from 1pm. Check it out at www.inverclyderadio.net or by clicking on the ‘Radio Heard Here’ link to your right.
Coming up on the show we have the Guess Who competition, loads of great music and your requests, dedications and shout outs. If you want a wee mention or a song played for you don’t forget to drop me an email to allybally@inverclydemedia.com or alternatively you can call the show for free on Skype and go live on air. Just click the Call button on the right hand side of this page, or add allybally.inverclyderadio to your Skype Contacts!
After tonight’s reception it seems to have gone down well, here is my piss take of JLS’ Beat Again which I played at 7.30 on tonight’s Ally Bally show. Hope you like it!
‘Sup Homies! Why should you tune into the Ally Bally show this Thursday at 6pm? Well, if you hate the current crud music like the X-Factor, JLS and N-Dubz you have at least one reason to tune in! I’ll be performing the very first rendition of my song “Won’t Chart Again” which pokes fun at today’s guff music. I’ll be playing the song between 7.30-7.45 so make sure you are tuned in.
But what else?! I’ll be running down the Brit nominations and filtering the chaff from the decent stuff, playing the tunes that matter from the nominees and at around 7 o’clock I’ll be doing the Hard One, where you have to listen to the snippet of music I’m playing for you. If you guess correctly, you get to win the Pants of Pride so what are you waiting for!
Should be a fun show – not only is it a special 4 hour bumper edition finishing at 10pm, but I also sent out a few invitations over on Facebook and there seems to be a lot of you guys RSVP’ing to say you are tuning in, which is great! – Don’t forget to drop me a wee email to allybally@inverclydemedia.com if you are wanting one of your favourite tunes put on the show. Preferably before the show gets under way so I can rummage through my sacks and pick out your tune in good time.
As a wee taster of the cheese infestation that is my song, “Won’t chart again”. I have attached the lyrics in PDF format: Won’t Chart Again
Don’t worry if it doesn’t make much sense to you now, come tomorrow night it’ll all become clear. Even better – why don’t you make up your own lyrics to a popular crappy recent song and send them on over to me. I promise to play it!
Okay peeps, enough claptrap from me. Chat to you tomorrow night!
Just a wee reminder that the Ally Bally Show is live on Inverclyde Radio at www.inverclyderadio.net from 1pm this Saturday. Don’t forget to listen in for the Guess Who competition where you can win the much coveted ‘Streak Free’ Pants of Pride!
Don’t forget that the show has moved to a Thursday now, and that it’s on an extra 30 minutes early tonight, be sure to tune in! – www.inverclyderadio.net
Just to let you know that the Ally Bally show starts earlier than usually billed this evening at 5.30pm GMT, so I’ll be on an extra half hour. Anyway, plugging aside, here’s this weeks website of the week, which isn’t really a website, but a great video mashup of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit and Lady Gaga’s Poker Face. Now, folks that regularly listen to the show might know that I’m not exactly Lady (ahem) Gaga’s number one fan, but this mashup is clearly inspired.
I’ll play it on the show tonight as well, but it may be the one and only time it gets aired as it appears that EMI have put out a cease and desist order against the creator of the mashup, known as ‘DJ Lobsterdust’.
